OSRS Nightmare Zone - What is it?

Oldschool Runescape Nightmare Zone 

On the 5th of September Jagex released the Nightmare Zone minigame in an update. Since then a lot of Old School Runescape players have been participating in the minigame with (mainly) as purpose to train their combat skills. The Nightmare Zone is a safe minigame so you won't lose any items upon death. The concept of the Nightmare Zone minigame is that you're fighting bosses from quests that you've fought before in a dream. You have three game modes in the NMZ: practice, endurance, and rumble. The minigame is run by Dominic Onion, a mage from Lunar Isle. The easiest and fastest way to get to the NMZ minigame is by using the teleport option in your minigame tab.

So how do you get started? First of all, you need to have completed a minimum of five quests in order to activate a dream. These five quests are strongly recommended: Lost City, Monkey Madness 1, Haunted Mine, Tree Gnome Village, and Witch's House.  You need to have a decent amount of GP on you to pay Dominic Onion for a customized dream (22,000 GP for normal and 26,000 GP for hard). When choosing for a customized dream you can enable or disable bosses, make sure to select at least five bosses. If you add more bosses you'll receive more points, for example, when you have five bosses in your NMZ session you'll get 28.5% of a boss's maximum points, when you have ten bosses you'll get 32.5% of a boss's maximum points, so an increase of 4%. It's recommended that you have at least level 70 + in combat stats and at least level 43 Prayer.

In the game mode "Rumble" you have power-ups. these power-ups spawn randomly in the NMZ minigame. When activating one of these power-ups you get a temporarily advantage. You have a total of four power-ups, the first one is Recurrent Damage which has a red color. With every attack you'll have 3/4 of the initial damage as extra damage. This will last for 45 seconds. The second one is Zapper which is purple in color. When activated nearby monsters will get damaged, this power-up lasts one minute. The third one is called Power Surge, this power-up regenerates your special attack by 20% per tick. Last but not least you have Ultimate Force, on activation all bosses in the area will get killed instantly. Unfortunately, this will not give you points.

You can find the rewards of the Nightmare Zone in a chest close to Dominic Onion. You have three categories of rewards: Resources, Upgrades, and Benefits. You can buy these rewards using your points that you obtain in the NMZ minigame. The maximum points you can have stored is 2,147,483,647. In the resources category, you can find items such as Herblore ingredients, runes, and items you can only buy as a reward from NMZ such as the scroll of redirection. In the upgrades category, you can imbue certain items such as the black mask, beserker ring, warrior ring, slayer helmet, salve amulet, and much more.  In the benefits category, you can buy super ranging potions, super magic potions, overload potions, and absorption potions, these potions can only be used in the NMZ.
